 The most common oral infection after tooth decay is what is known as canker

sores or aphthous ulcers which are painful and occur on the inside of the

mouth, on the tongue, inner cheeks and throat, on the gums and palate and

inside the lips.

 Dental Caries or cavities also known as tooth decay is caused by the

destruction of the hard enamel of a tooth leading to holes that are further

susceptible to decay.

 These are caused by bacteria like streptococcus that cause sweet and

starchy foods into acid that eats away at the tooth.

 According to Dentzz study young children and teenagers are most

susceptible to this problem.
