  5. Hall Council is…. • A proactive group of residents who serve as leaders to enhance the residence hall community through: • Social programs • Role modeling • Community service • Campus involvement

  6. Things to Consider • Supervising vs. Advising • Attitudes of the Advisor • Upper Class vs. First Year • Position Flexibility • Relating Hall Council to LLC Theme • Relation to SSMs

  7. Motivation • WHY? • Methods of motivation during the year • Collaborate with SSMs • Community social events v. educational emphasis • Team building & social opportunities for members (i.e Uptown-movies, ice cream, etc) • Other leadership & personal development opportunities on campus
