  1. MPA Online Entering Solos, Ensembles, and Bands

  2. The first step is to log into MPA Online at: www.flmusiced.org/mpa2 • You will need to make sure you have filled out all of your school information in Step 1. If you need help entering your school information please reference the first PowerPoint I sent out before All-State auditions. • You will also need to enter your students into Step 2. You have two options to enter students, you can enter each student in manually, or you can import students from an Excel spreadsheet. If you need help entering students please reference the first PowerPoint I sent out before All-State auditions.

  3. Now you are ready to begin entering your entries for Solo and Ensemble! Click on either High School Solo and Ensemble or Middle School Solo and Ensemble

  4. The first step is to enter your accompanists. Click on Step 1: Add your accompanists

  5. You will then come to this screen. Below the blue field is a list of accompanists that have already been entered. If you see you accompanists name already on the list you do not need to enter them again. If you don’t see their name enter it in the blue field, first name first, last name second, then hit the ‘Submit’ button.

  6. Once all of your accompanists names have been entered hit the purple ‘Go Back’ arrow at the top of the page. Be careful not to hit the browser go back button.

  7. You are now ready to begin entering your Solo and Ensemble entries! Click on Step 2: Add a New Solo/Ensemble Entry

  8. You will then see a screen that looks like this. You can enter part of the title of the piece or part of the music code into the blue field and it will try to find your piece. When the correct piece is highlighted (you may need to click on it) hit the ‘Submit’ button off to the right If you would like to browse the FBA music list you can click on the purple link below the field to enter your title.

  9. You now come to the Entry Details screen. Click on the purple ‘Edit’ button if you need to enter an accompanist, change the title, or change the preferred date. You will also need to enter your student by selecting their name from the ‘Select a Student’ drop down menu. Once you have selected the student, then select their instrument in the field to the right. Once you have done that hit the ‘Add Selected Student’ button to the right. If you are registering an ensemble keep adding students until each student in the group has been registered.

  10. This is what your screen will look like if you hit the ‘Edit’ button. Change or enter the information you need to, and be sure to hit the purple ‘Update’ button at the bottom. Changes can only be saved if you hit the ‘Update’ button.

  11. Once all of your entries have been entered you are able to print your entry form and entry summary list to turn in. To print your Entry Form, click on the purple link ‘Print your Entry Form’, and print the page the appears. This is the page you will need to get signed by your principal to turn in. Then click on the purple link ‘Summary’ to print a summary of your entries to turn in.

  12. Now its time to enter your concert bands! From the main screen click on either High School Concert MPA or Middle School Concert MPA

  13. Then you will hit the ‘Add a New Entry’ link

  14. You will need to fill out the required information in each field, then hit the purple ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the screen

  15. Once you hit ‘Save’ you will come to a screen that allows you to enter your students for the group. Select all the students in the LEFT column who are a part of the band by checking the box next to their name. When all students have been checked click the ‘Add’ button in the center. When all students have been added click the purple arrow at the top left of the screen.

  16. Once you come back to this screen you can print your entry form by clicking on the purple ‘Entry Form’ link. This form needs to be signed by your principal before you turn it in. If you are taking more than one band to MPA repeat this process for each band you are taking.

  17. Entering a Jazz Band follows the same process as entering a Concert Band, only you will need to click on High School Jazz MPA or Middle School Jazz MPA.
