Setup Connect SP Designer to http://sp2010-wfe:100/sites/ogc Create HR sub site – if this isn’t already created Within IE – navigate to http://sp2010-wfe:100/sites/ogc/hr This document shows the modifications of the steps within activities from the instructor’s SharePoint Designer Level 2 courseware. A PDF of the instructor’s book is available using the access key located on the 1stpage within students courseware book.

  3. Lesson 1 Activity 1-1, 1-2 & 1-3 Replacement activity for all lesson 1 activities is written up in a different document named AdRotatorActivity.doc.

  4. Lesson 2 Activity 2-1 & 2-2 For these activities – follow the instructor’s manual activities

  5. Lesson 3 Activity 3-1 Step 2: a & b - Password – use Paste Password from Machine Commands Menu

  6. Lesson 3 Activity 3-1 Step 2: d & e – Northwind / Employees

  7. Lesson 3 Activity 3-2 I would ADD this Step – Add / Remove columns

  8. Lesson 3 Activity 3-2 Step 2: d & e –Sort and Group by Country, then Sort ASC by Last Name

  9. Lesson 3 Activity 3-2 Step 2: g thru j – Filter by Title / Sales Representative

  10. Lesson 4 – Activity 4-2 Step 1: a - Name: Product Details Save and Preview Step 3: c thru k – add in a new product information. Modify an existing product. Delete the product you added. These additions and modifications write back to the SQL table.

  11. Lesson 5 – Activity 5-1 Step 5: j – use add / remove columns versus deleting the data

Lesson 5 – Activity 5-2 Setup: Navigate to http://sp2010-wfe1:100/sites/team/ Create Custom List (follow Step 1 somewhat) Columns Rename TITLE to Employee Name, Employee ID and Salary Add Data – (follow Step 2 c thru h) Step 3: Back in SPD (in ogc/hrsite) Step 3: g http://sp2010-wfe1:100/sites/team/_vti_bin/lists.asmx?wsdl Step 4: h – use add/remove columns – keep ows_LinkTitleand ows_Salary Skip 4-j,k,l ADDED step – go back to team site Payroll list – add another entry. On ogc/hr site – refresh the page
