  5. Tell how it symbolizes you • First, this picture represents me and my husband, a very important part of who I am. It symbolizes our optimism as a couple. For twenty-three years, every since we first got married, we have had one motto: Together, through Christ, we can do anything. This motto has helped us through everything from moving several times, starting the church here, starting the school, and raising our children. We have survived some hard times, but we have survived them together.

  12. Introductory Paragraph a) Introduce the topic/what you are writing about My name is Michele Penton. I am 44 years old and have been teaching for nearly 25 years. I spend most of my day homeschooling my children or teaching here, but most of them do not know very much about me. b) Give your reason or purpose for writing I think it is important for students to know their teachers better. Many students think that I do not have a life outside of homeschooling or co op teaching. This, of course, is not true; therefore, I have chosen three things that represent me. c) Summarizethese three things A picture of my husband and myself, a hat, and a piano represent a few aspects of who I am.
