  2. Phage Name and Reasoning • We decided name our phage Banana7 because Banana rhymes with both our names.

  3. Source of Our Phage • We got our phage from Dr. K’s clean compost sample

  4. Plaque Morphology • i. Size: 1.5 mm • Ii. Appearance: Our phage is clear without a halo

  5. Titer of HTL • The titer of our HTL is 1.95*10 ^7

  6. DNA isolation • A. Concentration: 1.95µg/µl • B. Yield: 19.5µg • C. : 0.01733 • D.: Restriction Digest Results: PstI:2cm, SalI:2cm, EcoRv: 2cm, NcoI:3cm,

  7. 2nd DNA gel results • Our second round of using restricting enzymes on our gel was very faint, but the results were interesting. • Controle: 1cm, BanHl:0.5cm, Clal: 1cm, EcoRl:1cm, Haell &Hindll: 1cm.

  8. Does your phage look like any other phages from the class or database? • As far as we have looked, our phage does not look like any others from the class or the database.

  9. Anything else that is interesting about yourphage? • Our phage is a siphoviridae. It looks like the head has been broken into and it is now • dead.

  10. Why should the class select your phage as the one to sequence? • I would say that our phage should be picked because of its clarity and awesome name.
