What is Curriculum Mapping? • Calendar based curriculum mapping is a procedure for collecting a data base of the operational curriculum in a school and/or district. • It provides the basis for authentic examination of that data base. • Using an electronic, shared relational data base provides the basis for a learning community Based on the work of Heidi Hayes Jacobs: Mapping the Big Picture, ASCD
