  1. The U S A America is named after the Italian navigator Amerigo Vespucci. He made several voyages to the New World. But Christopher Columbus was the first person who reached America in October 1492. There are 50 states in the USA and the population is over 270million and the area is 9.400.000 square kilometres. The national symbol of America is the Bald Eagle. The American flag has got 13 red and white stripes for original state of the Union. There are also 50 white stars on the US flag as a symbol of the number of the states.

  2. The Capital of the U S A is Washington.

  3. The first president of the USA was George Washington. George Washington was the first Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America during the American Revolution and later became the first president of the United States serving from1789 until 1797.

  4. Most of the people live in towns and cities. The main cities are: Washington, New York, Chicago, Detroit, Los-Angeles, Dallas, San-Francisco, Boston, Las-Vegas. New York San-Hose Las-Vegas

  5. The USA is washed by two oceans: the Atlantic ocean and the Pacific ocean. The territory of the USA lies in a few climatic zones. The climate is different in different regions. There are a lot of long river, deep valleys and deserts in this country.
