  1. Year 10 Film Study Goal: To identify verbal and visual features in film and describe how these features are used and combined for effect Starter: What Why

  2. Dialogue • Contrast: Boone "Mr Official"; Yoast: "Titus" – emphasises Boone still an outsider.

  3. Sound • The build up of the drums creates a come from behind effect.

  4. Camera • The use of slow motion adds to the physical nature of the scene.

  5. Shots • CROSS-CUT CUs of Yoast's troubled face and the smug face of Taber • The BCU of Yoast’s face shows his disgust at corrupt officiating.
