  1. WIN-202 User Group Meeting Feb. 28 & Mar. 1, 2006 – San Francisco, CA

  2. Agenda • Welcome • March 2006 Release • New Predecessor/Successor Screen • Future System Changes • September 2006 • March 2007 • Timing Unknown • WIN-202 System Redesign Status • User Wish List Responses • Processing Schedule • RDAT • Upcoming Events

  3. March 2006 Release • ARS Data Entry Screen Zone Code to CAPS • ARS Scan Screen Bar Code Correction • CARS File Layout Correction • CIPSEA Short File • Edits • Edit 48 Comment 00 • Edit 99 Large Imputation Check • Edit 91 Employment • K Indicator • MWR Web • Wage Record Predecessor/Successor Screen Fix • NY CIPSEA EQUI Master Record Problem

  4. ARS Data Entry Screen • The ARCS Data Entry Screen now converts lowercase zone codes to CAPS when the “OK” button is selected. • Eliminates conflicts with other systems when lowercase zone codes are exported from WIN-202.

  5. ARS Scan Data Entry Screen Bar Code Correction • The ARCS Scan Data Entry Screen has been modified to accept forms with 12-digit barcodes from the CARS print facility.

  6. CARS File Layout Correction • The CARS output file has been corrected so that Null fields will be output as “blanks” instead of “?”. • Response codes will be incremented by 1 for each mailing and then added to the CARS output file. • The first mailing contains Response Code “01”. Carryover records will have their response codes set to “98”.

  7. CIPSEA Short File • This new shorter format file is easier to use and limits records to the analyst’s specifications. • Select “CIPSEA Short File” from the Reports Menu and enter the desired parameters.

  8. Edit 48 Comment Code 00 • Comment Code 00 is now a valid code and will not be reassigned to a “?” with Edit 48 (Invalid Comment Code). • This corrects the programming that was removing the comment code 00 when the edit was run

  9. Edit 99 Large Imputation Check • Edit 99 (Questionable Large Imputation) allows analysts to identify records being imputed with large employment in which an establishment may have actually sold or gone out-of-business. Editors do not need to review the estimate queries any more.

  10. Employment Edit Correction • Due to an error in the employment edit, too many records were flagging. The correction should reduce the number of employment flags for edits 89, 90, 91, 136, 137 & 138 (Employment Change Greatly Exceeds Test Parameters).

  11. K Indicator • Allows BLS & State analysts to review estimations made outside of normal procedures for natural disasters. • Modifies edits 49, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, & 128 to add “K” as a valid value for employment and wage indicators.

  12. MWR Web • MWR Web tests continue

  13. Wage Record Predecessor/ Successor Screen Fix • A fix was made to the WR Pred/Succ screen to improve system performance after leaving the screen.

  14. CIPSEA EQUI Master Record Problem • CIPSEA calculated employment for some master records did not equal the sum of subunits. The Data Sharing file has been corrected for this release.

  15. BONUS • No Dump and Reload for the March Release!!

  18. New Pred/Succ Screen (cont.) Additional P/S Screen Notes: Physical Address is the default address choice System assign posted date and source=wr when actual p/s is created from the potential screen Issue warning if the user tries to add a p/s that already exists Highlight/double click an actual p/s to update transfer date or source: message: Do you want to update or delete? Scroll box of p/s in upper corner sorted by posted date Scroll box of p/s in upper right corner will also appear on the admin tab where the P/S fields are currently. Once a P/S link is made, it will become active in the upper right corner P/S scroll box and the user will be able to navigate to that account. Other Issues: Generate a Wage Record Summary report that will show more detail than what is displayed on the screen. Show codes on bottom of the address and admin tabs. We need more explanation of the scoring.
