  1. OBJETIVO: Demostrar que el sonido puede transmitirse por el agua y que su velocidad promedio a Temperatura de 20oC es de 1435mt/seg. FUNDAMENTACION CIENTIFICA: Durante mucho tiempo, los investigadores han sentido una gran fascinación por el sonido y el modo en que éste se desplaza por el agua, en 1490, Leonardo DaVinci observó: "Si un barco se detiene y coloca la punta de un tubo de gran longitud en el agua y el otro extremo lo acerca a su oído, podrá escuchar barcos que se encuentren a gran distancia". A mediados del siglo XVII, los investigadores ya medían la velocidad del sonido en el aire; sin embargo, no fue hasta1826 cuando Daniel Colladon, un físico suizo, y Charles Sturm, un matemático francés, midieron De forma precisa su velocidad en el agua. Con la ayuda de un tubo largo para escuchar debajo del agua (como había sugerido Da Vinci), consiguieron registrar a qué velocidad el sonido de una campana sumergida recorría todo el Lago Lemán. El resultado fue 1.435 metros por segundo en agua a 1,8 grados centígrados.La velocidad del sonido en el agua es de interés para realizar mapas del fondo del océano. En agua salada, el sonido viaja a aproximadamente 1,500 m/s y en agua dulce a 1,435 m/s. Estas velocidades varían principalmente según la presión,  temperatura y salinidad . PROCEDIMIENTO. 1 COLOCAR EL RECIPIENTE SOBRE MESA Y LLENARLO CON AGUA 2 UNIR EL EMBUDO CON LA MANGUERA 3 COLOCAR EL PLÀSTICO EN LA PARTE SUPERIOR DEL EMBUDO Y SUJETARLO CON LA LIGA. 4 COLOCAR EL OÌDO EN EL OTRO EXTREMO DE LA MANGUERA 5 GOLPEAR SUAVEMENTE EL RECIPÌENTE Y ESCCUCHAR 6 REPETIR LA PRÀCTICA, PERO GOLPEAR LA MESA..
