    3. SIG Overview SIG is a stand alone company set up by Genesis OGC / Technip SIG established to develop and operate innovative inspection technologies - Pig trap to Wellhead 3 main product lines for riser & pipeline integrity IMV – In-line Multifunction Vehicle Non-intrusive – Mobile ROV / Diver units Non-intrusive – Permanent Monitoring Systems Focused on Integrity issues within the Industry Un-piggable pipelines - Deepwater Risers –TOLC – Subsea tie-backs

    4. Background Products use low frequency guided wave ultrasonics combined with HF ultrasonics for sizing. Close co-operation & development with GUL First subsea deployment July 2004 – Amerada Hess in NS Physics worked – client saved Ł2M ROV & Diver systems have proved very effective Clients include - Amerada Hess - Exxon Mobil – Dana - Shell Since 2004 - progressive development into new applications Includes in-line inspection - IMV Permanent corrosion monitoring systems – g-PIMS

    6. Guided Ultrasonics

    24. Summary Guided Ultrasonics has a valuable role subsea from both an external & internal application Flexible enough to be deployed from pig trap to wellhead Easy integration with subsea Ops – little tooling required IMV option addresses the difficulties of ‘un-piggable’ pipelines More like an internal ROV than a traditional inspection pig Combining low and high frequencies has advantages very good detection & sizing of defects Low frequency more practical in dirty pipelines
