  2. LachmanMcillivary • LachmanMcillivary was a Scottish man when he came to America. • When he came to Savannah Georgia he had a shilling and very little clothes.

  3. LachmanMcillivary • He signed a payment to take care of cattle with a caravan and to Alabama he went! • For payment for taking care of the animals, he was given a jack knife.(pocket knife) • Later he traded the knife for deerskin.

  4. LachmanMcillivary • Lachman married Sehoy and established a home in Tallassee on the Coosa River. • They had 2 daugters named Sophia and Janett and 1 son named Alexander.

  5. English • English often traded with the Indians. This was very important. • EXAMPLE axe heads were traded for deerskin.
