International • AIM Spring International Trip: Madrid, Spain • Upcoming INFO SESSIONS • Monday, 11/20, 6-7PM, JMHH G88 • Tuesday, 11/28, 7-8PM, JMHH F38 • If you are interested in attending the trip, highly encourage your attendance at one of the sessions • Deadline for all application + resume + initial deposit (which is refundable if not selected) is due Wednesday, 12/06 • Selection by Board: Friday, 12/09 ** AIM Members get preference during the selection period **

International Updated Timeline of Tasks • Generate list of companies • Still revising, letters will be sent out in Dec/Jan • Marketing of trip • Plasma screens, calendars, LISTSERVS! • Set up application process for trip participants • Will we need to interview? • INFO SESSIONS • Information Sheet + Presentation needs to be done • Applications processed after Dec. 6 • Selection by Dec. 9

Domestic • Domestic Trips • This semester 2006: • Philadelphia is not going to work out this semester (Philly Stock Exchange, GSK said no) • Next semester 2007: • Goal to plan 2 trips, before and after Spring Break • Priority Order • Washington D.C.: March 30 or April 6 • New York: February 16 • Boston: weekend Feb 17-18 • Pittsburgh • Professional Development • Will focus on the academic portion of the Multicultural Event, help obtain speakers

Multicultural Event Proposal Drafted by Anthony Orlando, 11/13 1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Awareness of International Markets is proposing the 2007 Wharton Multicultural Fair to expose the Wharton undergraduate community to the resources, opportunities, and diversity of international business. Recognizing Wharton has a need for: • Increased awareness of the various cultures of the world; • Educational resources in multiple foreign markets; • Access to experts in a broad base of international opportunities; and • Focused advice and insights into international business. The 2007 Wharton Multicultural Fair will seize the opportunity not only to satisfy but also to exceed Wharton needs in all four (4) areas.

  12. Multicultural Event Proposal 2.0 AGENDA: 2.1 Logistics The 2007 Wharton Multicultural Fair will take place on Friday or Saturday, March 23/24, 2006, in Jon M. Huntsman Hall. The academic portion will run from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, and the entertainment portion will run from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. 2.2 Schedule

Stiglitz • Microfinance Author C.K. Prahalad (The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid) • Emerging Markets Authors Vijay Mahajan & Kamini Banga (The 86% Solution) • Anti-Globalization Author Naomi Klein (No Logo) • Anti-Globalization Author Noam Chomsky (Hegemony or Survival) • Jeffrey Sachs, Columbia Professor (The End of Poverty) • R.J. O’Rouke, Political Humorist (All the Trouble in the World: The Lighter Side of Overpopulation, Famine, Ecological Disaster, Ethnic Hatred, Plague, and Poverty)

Multicultural Event Proposal 2.0 AGENDA: 2.4 Panel Discussions Four (3) continent-specific panel discussions will be offered with a professor moderator and panelists with field experience in specific regions. Each panel will may organized by one or two distinct Wharton organizations (in parentheses). • Asia (Wharton China Business Society & Wharton Asian Exchange) • Europe (Wharton Mediterranean Business Society) • Africa (Black Wharton Undergraduate Association) • Americas (Wharton Latino Undergraduate Association & Penn International Business Volunteers)

  15. Multicultural Event Proposal 2.0 AGENDA: 2.5 Evening Events The dinner will feature a buffet of catered international cuisine. As students eat dinner and mingle in the Forum, several culturally-themed Penn performing arts groups will perform. (Depending on the venue, performances can be on the stairs and/or a cleared area at the foot of the stairs in Forum OR 2nd floor MBA Café/Plaza Area.)
