  2. What is the Career Action Program (CAP)? • Supplemental program offering 12 hours of professional development to students registered in MGT 3003 • Opportunities to develop and/or enhance the student’s professional skills • Meet with and get feedback from representatives at top companies

  3. How does CAP work? • Resume Reviews • Mock Interviews • Speed Networking • All day Conference with sessions focused on: -Making the Right Impression in 30 Seconds -Becoming a Professional -The Way of Business, and -The Art of Dining

  4. Benefits to participating in CAP • A chance to develop and practice your professional interaction skills • Meet and learn from corporate volunteers who are looking for new employees and interns • Meet and share ideas with other students • If successfully completed, gain some extra credit!

When are sessions held? • Resume Reviews: Due in class • Mock Interviews: (attend one event) -March 2nd: 2:00-3:15pm -March 8th: 2:30-3:45pm-March 3rd: 12:30-1:45pm -March 9th: 5:30-7:00pm • CAP Conference: (all day event)-April 1st : 8:00am-3pm • Speed Networking Events: (attend one event)-April 6th,19th or 21st : 6:00-7:30pm

  6. CAP Orientation Schedule Jan 27th- 9:45am and 3:15pm Jan 31st- 12:45pm and 3:30pm Feb 1st- 12:45pm and 2:30pm Feb 2nd- 11:00am and 3:30pm Feb 3rd- 9:30am and 2:30pm • Sign up for one session. Each last one hour. • All sessions to be held in the Financial Studies Center, BB 1st Floor. Bring your UTSA ID and network logon to insure credit.

  7. Last but not least… • Sign up for your Orientation session in theCenter for Student Professional Development (BB 2.01.08) • All sessions occur outside of class. Participants must commit to and attend all portions of CAP to receive credit • Become familiar with Rowdy Jobs before Orientation • Dress for all events is Business Professional • Deadline to sign up: January 26th, 2011 • Generously funded by the H-E-B corporation
