  3. Purpose • Increase Participation in Beavercreek Rotary Projects • Reward the Membership for their Service • Encourage Participation in the Rotary Foundation

  4. Benefits • Provides a Better Method to Allocate Funds to the Paul Harris Foundation • Helps Members Purchase Paul Harris Fellowships • Little Additional Work is Required • Program Does Not Replace or Modify the Sustaining Membership Program or any other Program

  5. Management • Executive Board has Management Responsibility for the Program • Treasurer Will Track the Individual Accounts • Secretary Will Provide Certain Information to the Treasurer • Project Leads Will be Responsible for Accounting and Reporting of the PHFAD

  6. Restrictions • PHFADs (Paul Harris Fellowship Award Dollars) • Are Good Only for the Purchase of a Paul Harris Fellowship • Are Non-Transferable • You Must Match with a Contribution of at Least $500 to Obtain Your PHF • Awards Made on the Completion of the Task

Example Scenario • Let’s say the programs has been in place for two years • I was the Treasurer for Those Two Years $200 PHFADs • Work the Pop Corn Festival Two Shifts $ 10 PHFADs • Trash Pick Up 8 times $ 40 PHFADs • I have Now accumulated $250 PHAFDs • I Have Also Been Contributing $25 Per Quarter to Paul Harris Sustaining membership $ 200 • Now Decide I Would Like a Paul Harris Fellowship Honoring My Wife (I have one & she deserves it) • I Get the Form from the Secretary, Fill it Out Add a Check for $550. Return it to the Secretary • The Treasurer then add $450 and Mails to Rotary International

  8. Summary & Question • Paul Harris Fellowship Award Dollars (PHFAD) are Awarded to Members to be used for the Purchase of Paul Harris Fellowships • Awards are Given for Services Preformed • Award Level Based on Club’s Priorities • Award Level Falls within Club’s Budget
