For ten years you will have to attend to your school all days because you are in a compulsory education. • Six years in primary education (Schools) and four years in secondary education -ESO- (High Schools). • PCPI:-Programade CualificaciónProfesionalInicial- (2 years) another option if you have not got your graduateon E.S.O. • When you finish here you can go into two directions, which are: • Bachillerato:If you want to go to university. • FP:Vocationalstudies.

  3. CHILD EDUCATION When you are three years old you can go to child education but it is not compulsory. If you go there for two years from three to five you can get an extra education and new knowledge.

  4. Primaryeducation • It´s divided in 3 cycles: • First (6 - 8 years), second (8 - 10 years) and third (10 - 12 years). • The subjects are science, artistic education, physical education, Spanish language and literature, foreign language and mathematics.

  5. Secondaryeducation • It has twoparts, Enseñanza Secundaria Obligatoria (ESO) and enseñanza secundaria post obligatoria (bachillerato). • The ESOlasts 4 years and it divides in two cycles, first (from 12 to 14 years) and second (from 14 to 16 years). • The objectives are preparing the pupils for professional world and an adult academic life. • It has an integral character, it is for everybody. • It has common subjects which everybody must study and optative ones, whose election depends on the person.

  6. MORE OPTIONS • If you have already had your degree in Bachillerato you can get two options: • Go to an upgrade of FP. • Do a career on the university.

  7. Bachillerato • It lasts two years and it is divided in five modalities: • Arts: Sound and design, and music and dance. • Science. • Technology. • Humanities. • Social sciences: Economics.

  8. VOCATIONAL STUDIES • To access you must have the secondary education certificate or pass the access test. • It includesa group of educative cycles divided in different sections. • After finishing it you can access to bachillerato or go to the professionalworld.

  9. University • The university titles have been reduced since 2010 to: • Degree, a career of 4 years. • Master, which lasts 1 or 2 years and to access you must have a degree. • Doctorate, a program for which you need a master certificate to enter.

  10. DEDREE/ MASTERS/ DOCTORATES: • Arts and humanities. • Healthcarescience. • Social and legal science. • Architecture and engineering. • Science. • KINDSOF DEGREES: • Social and legal science. • Architecture and engineering.
