  5. Drivers for reporting • Regulations/Public Initiatives • Several Asian nations have taken voluntary pledges under the UNFCCC proceedings. Malaysia has pledged to reduce Carbon intensity by 40% compared to 2005 by 2020. • Public initiatives like MyCarbon in Malaysia, and NTP in Vietnam • Investors • US$92 Trillion is under management of the 767 members of the CDP “Carbon Action” investor initiative • Stock Markets • FTSE and Johannesburg leading with mandatory reporting or “disclose or explain”-policies for all listed companies • Many other exchanges have carbon-efficiency indices for top stocks.
