  17. Wiki eportfolio strengths? • The elimination of bulky materials that need to be presented • It is set up for you and you plug in the information • Organization and easy uploading for most things • It can be changed as you go or as the professor views it and makes suggestions. • Editing is painless • The comprehensive nature of the portfolio covers multiple aspects that reflect a new teacher candidate • Portable since I am not limited to one city for potential employment

  18. Wiki ePortfolioWeaknesses • Trouble uploading so it can be time-consuming • Formatting • Not many options with fonts, formatting, etc. • When SNET is down - which was a lot this semester - made it frustrating to work on certain projects • I am not “wired” nor very skilled at using technology. I much prefer tangibles (handwriting drafts, face-to-face interactions) • I would prefer a different homepage layout, maybe something more colorful • It does not format well with Macs, which are great computers for deaf ed. purposes

  19. Feedback for instructor/future students • Maybe put little dates next to each entry for reminders of when things are due. • Double check if work properly uploads • Definitely helps me to stay organized • If there is a way to use the portfolio without being subjected to the glitches of BB, that would be preferable • This is definitely the future and it is a great opportunity to do this as course work • This is the future of portfolios and resumes

  20. Anything Else? • Found the technology awkward at first, but I enjoy it now • I think it is great to be on the cutting edge of the interview process!

  21. Lessons Learned • Provide more training • Set firm deadlines • Suggestion for browser selection
