  1. Homosexuality in the Animal Kingdom Are Animals Coming Out of the Closet? (Yep, and out of the water, the bushes, and the sky too!)

  2. You’ve got to be kidding! Yep!! We’re not the only ones! Occurences among: • Bonobos, baboons • Adélie penguins • Bottle-nosed dolphins • Amazon River dolphins • Razorbills

  3. Why would they do such a thing? • Maybe they like it! Wow!! Who knew? • Maybe there’s no one else around? G’day Mate! Oy! Wanna mate? Me..Mate? Sure, no one else is around! • Facilitates Teamwork Can you help me with this problem I seem to be having? • Sign of aggression Aww… C’mon! You’re gonna like it!…But, this really isn’t me! • Desperation Now… “Here’s a Song for the Lonely!”

  4. Howcould they do such a thing? • Bonobos/Baboons- (Use your imagination or go too the San Diego Zoo! Just don’t stare- they might throw poo!) • Bottle-nosed dolphins- have been found to have sex with turtles (soft tissue at the back of the shell) and sharks! (sounds dangerous- hey we all like a little nibbling!)

  5. Adélie penguins have a hook on the end of their penis and have been found having sex with eels! Now that’s an ELECTRIFYING HOOK-UP! • Amazon River dolphins have been found having blow-hole sex! Why not make them useful for something under water as well?

  6. Guys! You’ll like this!!! Girls with Girls!!! Well… not really, more like female Stump-tailed Macaques with other female Macaques. They have been found to mount each other using their stumpy tails! They’ve gone all the way through to orgasm too!

  7. Female gull couples have been found to build nests together while taking turns with the incubation of the eggs. Even though the female gulls enjoy mounting each other they are also found caring for the fertilized eggs of other paired males and females in the colony. Could you say they clean up other messy relationships?

  8. Introducing Roy & Silo! Roy & Silo met in a Central Park (NY) Zoo holding tank in 1998. Oh, by the way… they’re male penguins! They were young then and not yet out of… should I say the pool? At breeding time they built a nest together, defended it from others, and would stand straight up, stretch out their wings and entwine their necks. (In penguin talk- that pretty much says to others that they’re committed!) Just to let you know… penguins don’t have genitals! They have cloacae, because they’re birds…right! And so, Roy & Silo simply interlock cloacae.

  9. Roy & Silo later showed that they were very much wanting a kid. Not the sticky smelly kind on the other side of the fence, but a little one just like them. Zookeepers gave the couple a dummy egg at first to see if they would incubate it, and they did! They then gave the couple a real fertilized egg. It hatched 34 days later, a female which they named Tango. Roy & Silo cared for her, fed her regurgitated smelt, and kept her warm until she could take care of herself. Roy & Silo

  10. This goes to show that gay marriage really isn’t about sex. Look at penguins! Even they can commit to each other and maintain a family while not being able to have REAL sex… they don’t have the equipment!!!

  11. If God Didn’t Make Homosexuals (birds, fish, and mammals)There Wouldn’t Be Any!Three conditions must be met to prove that homosexuality is indeed genetic.#1 The behavior must have a genetic basis. No basis, homosexuality cannot be subject to natural selection.#2 Must be exclusive. (Look at Roy & Silo, they did not wish to mate or for that matter be committed to another of the opposite sex.)#3 Such individuals must make up a significant proportion of the population.Behavior rare= big dealBehavior common= REALLY BIG DEAL!
