REGISTER FOR ORIENTATION • Orientation sessions offered throughout the summer • Required for all students first year students • Registration notification through MyUNLV and Rebelmail • You must accept your admissions to register • Will have the option to change your major • Once registered, to change your date you must call the Office of Admissions

BEFORE ORIENTATION • Before you attend Orientation, please submit: • SAT or ACT test scores (required) • Immunization or shot records • 2 MMR • 1 Tetanus Diphtheria (TD must be within 10 years) • High school transcript showing graduation date • AP scores • College/dual-enrollment transcripts • FERPA Form unlv.edu/registrar/ferpa

  7. ATTEND ORIENTATION • What will you do at Orientation? • Meet your academic advisor • Register for classes • Tour campus • Learn about campus resources • Find ways to get involved • Receive your RebelCard (Official Student ID) • Meet other new students like you!

  11. SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM

SUMMER BRIDGE PROGRAM The Summer Bridge Program is available for students who place in college preparatory math (<21 ACT or <510 SAT) • 5-week course starting June 10 or July 15 • Free as long as program is completed • 85% of students who participated advanced to college level math • Must be an admitted UNLV student and accepted your admissions to register Sign up at: academicsuccess.unlv.edu/learningsupport/bridge

APPLY FOR CAMPUS HOUSING Apply Online: housing.unlv.edu • Need your NSHE number • Requesting a roommate Costs (semester): • Housing $2,940 • Dining $2,000 *Campus housing and dining fees may vary depending on the room type and meal plan selected. Housing Scholarship for Clark County Students • Freshman students: $1,000 fall semester and $1,000 spring semester • Must have applied for housing and signed contract with initial housing prepayment by June 1st • Automatic consideration (first come, first serve) for a limited number of scholarships available

FINANCIAL AID • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): fafsa.ed.gov • Must fill out FAFSA to receive UNLV need and merit scholarships • Check your MyUNLV to see if you’ve been selected for verification • If selected, financial aid will not be processed until verification steps are completed • Must accept/decline awards through your MyUNLV account • Financial Aid and Scholarships • If you receive scholarships from outside entities, be sure provider has sent the information to UNLV • Student Employment: hire.unlv.edu

MILLENNIUM SCHOLARSHIP • Eligible Students • 3.25 overall weighted high school GPA. • Four years of English, four years of Math, three years of Natural Science, and three years of Social Science. • Graduate from a Nevada high school. • Nevada resident for last two years of high school • Activating your scholarship • You will be contacted by the Nevada Treasurers Office to activate your award • Using your scholarship • Must take a minimum of 12 credits a semester • Funds up to $960 a semester at UNLV • Must earn a 2.67 GPA during freshman year, then maintain a 2.75 • Visit nevadatreasurer.gov for more information
