  1. Instructional Impacts • Helps to develop and retain FTSE. • Help reduce student travel by providing classes at the closest site to their home or work. • Off-Site Librarian / Advisement / Counseling. Reduce need to staff extra staff for occasional use at off–sites. • Remote Classrooms / Instruction. Help fill classes by including all distance sites of a college or multiple colleges. Especially for low enrollment classes. • Help developing classes. Help when having trouble finding enough teachers in a rare discipline.

  2. Administrative Impacts • Remote New Employee Orientation, EOLT, and District Training • Remote meetings and lectures such as Honors Lectures / Forums, Governing Board Meetings. Would allow students to make remote presentations to main locations. • Provide and promotes globalization through international connections for instruction and partnerships. • Trip reduction for meetings and conferences. • Rental of system and services to outside clients. For revenue or community involvement. • Reduce loss of productivity due to travel time. • Help improve meeting attendance by providing more options.

  3. Technical Impacts • Uses H.323 as the standard. This standard was created by Cisco, Polycom, and other major IT companies as members of ITU. • Through QoS, network impact and video quality can to better managed. • With a 768Kb standard Max for each site, if all 11 sites connected to the bridge at Rio, then Rio would be using a 8.5Mb to the District.
