ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE

  • Testing has seen the vehicle reduce CO2 emissions by 25 percent.

  • Lower emissions of particulate matter and NOx.

  • The vehicle easily meets Euro 4 emission requirements.

Operational performance
OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE

  • The electric motor works primarily in city driving, while the diesel engine runs on highways (constant speed).

  • The Hino Hybrid is eight seconds quicker from 0-70km/h than a comparable diesel truck (3t payload).

  • A further fuel-saving features include regenerative braking, saving wear on the four-wheel disc brakes

  • TRIAL - 3 MONTHS:COMPARISON - CONTROLLED GROUP

    • Fuel consumption currently 25% less per km than the controlled Group (13.50 l/100km).

    • No scheduled maintenance has been required.

    • One vehicle: Rectify a minor fault with the Hill Start Assist system.
