Desktop Publishing with MS Word Presentation of Information with MS PowerPoint Computational Thinking By: Jaclyn Amog Information Technology (IT) fluency including proficiency with certain computer applications (traditional computer literacy), principles on which you can build new understanding as IT evolves, high-level reasoning and IT problem solving, and basic web programming (HTML/XHTML/JavaScript) as well as, computational thinking and data analysis and data presentations. Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel PowerPoint is useful for presenting information such as stock performance. It can display different charts such as pie charts and bar graphs. Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript MS Excel is helpful in keeping track of different types of data, such as expenses. The information inputted can also be created into a bar graph or pie chart. With Microsoft Word, one is able to create different types of documents that can easily be converted into PDFs. For instance, I was able to create a Career Plan for myself. Visual Programming with Alice Notepad++ is a great way of writing out code that can be used to create webpages. Thus displayed are two sample webpages as well as my personal CSE 3 Homepage. Alice is a program that allows one to create a 3-D animation. For example, an animation of a frog jumping into a pond can be created. JavaScript is useful is creating webpages that allow interaction with the site. For instance, with the click of a button, the program can add up a certain total of a product. JavaScript can also be used to create loops.
