  3. New Opportunities for Learning • Residency programmes leading to 22 specialties were launched in May 2010 • Rolling out 11 additional specialties and Family Medicine in 2011 • For those undecided on career directions  choose Transitional Year (TY) or Housemanship

Clinician Scientist Tracks • Clinician Scientist tracks: • 1-2 years of clinical research in advanced Residency years • Entry requirements similar to default Residency programmes • Can indicate clinician scientist tracks as one of your choices • Cannot select both clinician scientist track and clinical residency track in the same specialty • Internal Medicine clinician scientist tracks will be in advanced residency years after 3-year Internal Medicine Residency

  15. What you have to do • Study MOHH website carefully. • Decide on the track you want to choose. You have 3 broad choices: • Do a specialty track or Family Medicine • Do a TY • Do Housemanship • If you are undecided on a specialty track or Family Medicine, select TY or Housemanship

What you have to do • If you decide to do a specialty track or Family Medicine • You will be allowed a maximum of 3 choices, if one or more of them is a clinician scientist track. • For clinical residencies, you will be entitled to a maximum of 2 choices • Application for TY or Housemanship is separate, and does not consume one of the 3 choices. • Identify the Sponsoring Institutions where you can do your specialty track, TY or Family Medicine, and rank your choices in your application.
