  3. Mother’s Day – Deut. 5:16Honor your mother! (Proverbs 31:28) Vs. 28 – “Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her.” Vs. 31 – “Give her the product of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.” Become a missionary to the world of Motherhood!

  4. To Really Bless Mom, Anchor Your Family in the Lord “Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the Church, and gave Himself up for her…” (Ephesians 5:25) • Pray for her as a mom and wife • Provide leadership and support in Christian education of children • Assume responsibility for spiritual leadership in your home!

Bless Her For All She Does Proverbs 31:13ff – mom is a busy womanvs. 15– “She rises also while it is still night, and gives food to her household.”vs. 18 - “her lamp does not go out at night”vs. 20 – even enough to helping the poor* vs. 16 – “buys a field; her earnings”manages home business, husband children“The squeeze” – working moms raising families = 53% are “rushed”

  6. Bless Her For Who She Is …Her Character and Attitude “Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future. She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness” (Proverbs 31:25-27). vs. 30b – “but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.”

  7. One Measure … the Fruit of the Holy Spirit in Her Praise her for being:“loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and in self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23)“I love you Mom because (how she is).”

  8. Provide Relief for Her Burdens How does she most need helpas manager of the home?* shared tasks about the home* time management* financial support from the husband as provider (1 Tim 5:8)And ideas just for her:* sleep in past 7:00 a.m.* time with family, kids, grandchildren * time alone
