  2. Goal: • To implement a program that contains agility based drills

  3. Importance of Agility • For athletes agility is very important. You need to be able to react quickly to what is going on in your sport. Changing direction and reaction time are a major part of any sport.

  4. Agility Cones • Very inexpensive • Portable and easy to set up and put away • Align in any way to create a drill for athlete • Cost depends on the size • Sizes go from 6” to 15” high Each 6” cone cost $1.95

  5. Agility Ladder • Easy to set up and put away • Designed for athletes to make quick precise foot movements • Many different drills you can make with this ladder • Two different sizes. Price varies • 15ft. Ladder costs $41.95; 30ft. Ladder costs $73.95

  6. Reaction Ball • Oddly shaped ball • Unpredictable bounce • Used to improve athletes hand-eye coordination as well as reaction time • Will also enhance athletes depth perception • Very easy to use • Cost for one= $9.95

  7. Dot Drill Mat • Both plyometric work and agility • Improves reaction time, balance, and foot speed • Multiple types of drills you can create • Using multiple mats • Single-legged drills • Jumping drills • Cost= $55.95

  8. Zigyt agility app. • Very inexpensive app. • Creates drills based on what sport you play as well as what kind of equipment you are using • High intensity interval training component (HIIT) • Has timer, intensity setting (high to low), a pacing timer (metronome) for all drills • Cost= $1.99
