Organizational & Human Development • To design, deliver, and develop training and development programs for students, staff, and faculty at UW. • To assist department heads and chairs in developing new strategies for organizational structure and personnel development by providing brainstorming sessions, consultation and/or customized workshops. • To work with HR to assist in the delivery and design of Know Your Workplace sessions or other HR based training. • To design a comprehensive Orientation package and training session(s) for all new Staff to UW . • To provide a plan and an implementation strategy for succession planning at UW.

  10. Student Initiatives A new student Leadership Program is in the developmental stage. The proposed program would offer opportunity to both the emerging student leader and the more veteran student leader who is already in a leadership role. LAUNCH Into Leadership @ UW • initial leadership series (ideally year 1 & 2) • series of 6-8 workshops • explore leadership through a series of self-awareness & team building workshops. COMPASS – Navigating Your Leadership Potential @UW: • advanced series focused on students who are currently in a leadership role at UW. • series of 6-8 workshops • further development of leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Faculty Initiatives Working with Gary Waller, Director of watCACE we are developing workshops for faculty around key topics: • Performance Evaluation/Salary System for Faculty & Staff • Time Management – Do We Need To Meet? • Policy 18 – Staff Employment vs. Policy 76 - Faculty Appointments • Condensed version of Leadership for Results
