Infrastructure • Key activities (8 sub projects only one hightlight – Thorium resources and supply) • Determination of thorium, uranium and rare earth elements content and amount in non-conventional sources (mineral waste) • Non Conventional Survey to get the information on the thorium stock available from rare earth and amang factories • Determination of Thorium, uranium and rare earth elements content and amount in conventional sources (thorium deposit) • Rechecking previous airborne survey data on radiometric survey • Fieldtrip for Reconnaissance survey • Trenching, Trial pits and borehole drilling • Laboratory Analysis • Reserve estimation • Key resources • Human Resources – 9 researchers (4 PhD, 3 MSc, 2 BSc geology and 3 TAs ) • Physical resources – [NAA lab, Wavelength Dispersive XRF ] • Financial – [National project RM5.326M) and IAEA TC €200,000.00] • Key partners • Mineral and Geoscience Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (6 geologists and 3 Technical Assistants) • International partners – IAEA
