  2. אם שכחנו שחנוכה הגיע, הנה ניידת חב"ד מבשרת לנו זאת בעזרת החנוכייה שדולקת על קודקודהּ. It’s Hanukah today ! This Chabad vehicle with the Hanukah Menorah (Hanukia) mounted on its roof makes sure we haven’t forgot that…

  3. ועתה, נצא לסיור ברחובות נחלאות בירושלים. שם, כמו במקומות רבים אחרים, מפרסמות החנוכיות המוצבות בחוץ את נס החנוכה. Lets take a tour in “Nahlaot” area of Jerusalem. This is a great place to take a look at the ‘Hanukiot’, decorating the houses while spreading the story of Hanukah miracle.

  4. את החנוכיות מניחים בתוך "אקווריום" - כך לפחות ב"ירושלמית" מכנים את קופסת הזכוכית שמגנה על הלהבות מהרוח שבחוץ. The Hanukia is placed inside a glass box, in order to protect the flames from the wind outside.

  5. This Hanukia has several sets of oil candles, each one of them is placed inside a decorated glass. Olive oil is the recommended fuel for the candle… והנה גרסה מרובת חנוכיות, שבהן כל נר שוכן בתוך כוס נאה ובתוכה שמן, רצוי שמן זית.

  6. This precious Hanukia was placed outside also, guarded behind grids and a lock.At least this grid has a form that kindles affection… ומה עושים כשצריך להוציא החוצה גם את החנוכייה היקרה? – מניחים אותה מאחורי סורג ובריח. לפחות יש לסורג צורה מעוררת חיבה...

  7. Now lets drive up north to Haifa, where Christmas lights and decorations can be seen alongside the flames of the Hanukiot. ועתה, נעלה צפונה לחיפה. שם, לצד האורות המרצדים של נרות החנוכה, מעטרים את העיר קישוטי חג המולד.

  8. כאן מסיירים להם ילדי ואדי ניסנאס בבגדי סנטה בשבת גשומה במיוחד במסגרת פסטיבל "החג של החגים". הפסטיבל נחוג מדי שנה בחיפה לציון חנוכה, חג המולד והרמדאן. These children, wearing Santa costumes, march in one of the streets of Wadi Nisnas, during “The Festival of the Festivals”. This festival is celebrated every year to mark Hanukah, Christmas and Ramadan. Coexistence and fun is the name of the game here !

  9. ואפילו האטליז המקומי מתקשט לכבוד החג. Yep, even this butcher shop is decorated for Christmas.
