  1. Invitation of Partnership Caring for our homebound neighbors together.

  2. Meals on Wheels • Feeding and caring for our homebound neighbors. • Providing 1 meal a day, 5 days a week. • Human Contact for those who may have very little. • Currently serving 58 clients and growing. • No client is turned away even if they cannot pay for the meals.

  3. Our Reality • Technically a program of The Window. • The Window financially contributes the salary of two part-time employees and assets - such as office space and transportation. • Meals on Wheels does not receive any funding to pay for the meals or their transportation (gas) from The Window. • If a way can’t be found to reduce and or cover expenses Meals on Wheels might not be able to continue.

  4. Our Invitation • The Window has set a goal to expand its kitchen by 2015. • If that happens Meal’s on Wheel’s costs will be drastically cut. • We would like to invite the First Friday Committee to: • A two year partnership with Meals on Wheels. • Dedicating one First Friday a year to raise support and awareness for the nonprofit. • Taking an active role in caring for some of our communities most vulnerable and ignored citizens.
