  2. Symbols of sin, but also a nature force. • Location: the few that are left are scattered upon Middle Earth • Languages: every language • Physical description: large serpent like creature with wings, who can spit fire. • Gender: male- first

  3. Fighting against man. • Creation: Glaurung was the first of J.R.R. Tolkiens. He was the most powerful and magical dragon. • History: Dragons created by Morgoth during the first age. When Glaurung appears, Tolkien’s dragons are capable of breeding on their own, and in later ages the withered heath is purportedly their spawning ground. • Skills: smell, hearing, possibly initiative senses. Breathing fire, and can fly. • Notable characters: Smaug, Scatha, Glaurung, and Ancalagon
