  4. 1. Ball Valves It is a ball shaped disk, which is fitted inside the pipe. When the valve is open with the hollow end, then it is aligned in the direction of the flow. It sits perpendicular to the direction of the flow. 2. Plug Valves It is called cock valve. It also uses a cylindrical with a broad passage to block & start. In order to turn the handle or wheel, it arranges the hollow opening of the plug with both inlet & outlet ports.
