  2. Expressing Likes Using “gustar” Gustar is a special verb used to indicate likes Gustar can be used with an infinitive to express that you like a particular activity Porejemplo: Me gustacantar. Me gusta (mucho) montaren bicicleta. I like to sing. I (really) like to ride a bike.

  3. ¿Quétegustahacer? Asks what do you like to do? (hacer means to do) Answer with: Me gusta + an activity with an infinitive Porejemplo… Q: ¿Quétegustahacer? A: Me gusta leer y bailar.

  4. Asking about preferences—what do you like better? ¿Quétegustamás? = What do you like to do (better) more? What do you prefer? Porejemplo… Q: ¿Quétegustamás, dibujar o nadar? A: Me gustamásnadar.

  5. To emphasize likes: Use… A míme gusta … Porejemplo… Amíme gustapasartiempo con mis amigos.

  6. To express dislikes: Use “no me gusta” Porejemplo… No me gustamontar en bicicleta. Q: ¿Quéno tegustahacer? A: No me gustadibujar.

  7. To say neither____ nor ____: No me gustani _____ ni ______ . Porejemplo… No me gustanicorrernipatinar.

  8. To agree or disagree when someone states what they like/dislike: Me gustanadar. A mítambién. = agreement A mí no. = disagreement No me gustanadar. A mítampoco. = agreement A mísí. = disagreement
