  1. WWlnln Analysis Status Yusheng Wu UM Di-boson Meeting 9/17/2010

  2. WWlnlnCut Flows(Period A-F, 3.1pb-1) • 15 Candidates in total  After jet veto, 3 candidates (1ee,1em,1mm) ~ 3 pb-1 • MC Expectation has discrepancy with Data (-1)

  3. MC Background Estimation • Need to suppress TTbar background • Require Njet (pt>20GeV) = 0  ttbar 99.5% ↓, signal 40% ↓ • Require Njet (pt>20GeV) = 0,1  ttbar 90% ↓, signal 10% ↓ • Can try other approach as well, e.g. • Require “Scale Sum of Jet Pt” < Certain Value* (From D0 WW Note) • * need to look at which value to cut at • Apply b-tagging veto to reject ttbar

  4. MC Background Estimation 2 good m selection 2 good e selection Added Z/r*tt Added Di-jet with lepton filter: mu10mu10,e10e10 Missing Z/r*tt, Limited Statistics Di-jet (JF17)

  5. MC Background Estimation Before Z-Veto Pre-selection • Need to include more background samples • “ZZll+X” • “W+rll+X” • Can look at “Z+r” as well

  6. More variables to look at (D0 Note) • Scale Sum of Jet Pt • Minimal Mt(leption1), Mt(lepton2) • …
