  2. GOD REVEALS

  3. SINNERS RESPOND

  4. SINNERS RESPOND Psalm 18:6In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. Psalm 139:7 Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? 8  If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!

  5. SINNERS RESPOND Job 42:2  “I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted. … 5I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you; 6therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.”

  6. SINNERS RESPOND 1 Corinthians 12:10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

  7. SINNERS RESPOND Jonah 2:8  Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their hope of steadfast love. 9a But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you; what I have vowed I will pay.

  8. SINNERS RESPOND Matthew 15:7 You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said: 8“ ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; 9in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”

  9. SINNERS RESPOND Psalm 50:7 “Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you. I am God, your God. 8Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you; your burnt offerings are continually before me. 9I will not accept a bull from your house or goats from your folds.

  10. SINNERS RESPOND 10  For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills. 11 I know all the birds of the hills, and all that moves in the field is mine.

  11. SINNERS RESPOND Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

  12. SINNERS RESPOND Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

  13. SINNERS RESPOND Romans 8:38  For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  15. GRACE REMAINS

  16. GRACE REMAINS Proverbs 3:11 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, 12for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.

  17. GRACE REMAINS James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
