Definisitqm • TQM is described as the mutual cooperation of everyone in an organization and associated business processes, in order to produce products and services which meet and hopefully exceed the needs and expectations of customers(Dale, 1999). • TQM is an approach to improve competitiveness, efficiency and flexibility for a whole organization(Oakland, 1989). • TQM is a corporate culture that is characterisedby increased customer satisfaction through continuous improvement, involving all employees in the organization(Dahlgaardet al., 1999).
