Resolution… • House of Reps – 35 votes w/no success! • Hamilton persuaded some Feds to vote for Jefferson over Burr – he wins • Led to passage of 12th amendment – 1804 – separate ballots must be cast for Pres. And VP • Eventually Burr and Hamilton duel and Hamilton is fatally wounded and dies….
