  14. Tips for filling out college applications: Use blue or black ink (Never use pencil or colored pens) Write neatly/legibly Proofread, proofread, proofread!!!! Don’t leave anything blank

  15. Need recommendations? FOLLOW THESE VERY IMPORTANT STEPS… • Choose teachers, counselors ministers, etc. who know you really well • Give them at least 2 to 4 weeks notice that you need a recommendation • Provide them with a letter outlining the who, what, when, where, and why of your request • Provide a stamped, addressed envelope • Provide a copy of your “Brag Sheet” (Ask a counselor if you’re not sure.)
