  5. Pre-Ride Briefing • Route including stops • Formation • Hand signals • If going to be used • Emergencies

  6. Communication • CB Radio • Chatterbox/Bluetooth • Hand signals • Positioning

  7. Hand Signals START ENGINES:With your right or left arm extended, move your index finger side to side

  8. Hand Signals LEFT TURN:Raise your left arm horizontal with your elbow fully extended

  9. Hand Signals RIGHT TURN:Raise your left arm horizontal with your elbow bent 90 degrees vertically

  10. Hand Signals SINGLE FILE:Position your left hand over your helmet with your index finger extended upward. This indicates the leader wants the group in a single file formation. Usually this is done for safety reasons

  11. Hand Signals STAGGERED FORMATION:Extend your left arm upward with a closed fist. This indicates that it is safe to return to staggered formation

  12. Hand Signals TIGHTEN UP:Raise your left arm and repeatedly move up and down in a pulling motion. This indicates the leader wants the group to close ranks

  13. Hand Signals TICKED OFF:Extend your left arm straight out with your elbow bent 90 degrees. Carefully extend your middle finger to clearly demonstrate your dissatisfaction with the other guy. NOTE: It is not recommended you do this when you are alone

  14. The Ride • Formation • Same position the entire ride • 2 second interval between bikes • Staggered positioning

  15. Corners • Line Selection • You own your lane • Single file? • Dynamic of staggered formation changes

  16. Gas Stops • Everybody, every time!

  17. Parking • Follow the leader
