SUCCESSFUL MARKETING “Get The Word Out!” Sponsor Sports Teams Little League, Bar Leagues, etc. Community Events * Small Town Parades Distribute flyers, keychains, water bottles, etc. * 4th of July Events / Memorial Day * Wedding Expo (great way to meet couples looking to buy their first home!) * Home & Builders Show * Law Enforcement Expo * Kid & Baby Shows * “Tee It Up For The Troops” * Search for upcoming local events and see if you can get a booth, volunteer, or sponsor that event. Many are free or low-cost.

SUCCESSFUL MARKETING “Get The Word Out!” Distribute candy and snack buckets in Rochester Each bucket contains: Assorted candies, chocolates, granola bars, trail mix, etc. Homes For Heroes brochures (approx 5) Business Cards (approx. 5-10) Homes For Heroes logo pens (approx 5) Sticker on outside of the bucket with logo and contact information Buckets can be purchased at the dollar store! Distribute Buckets and Brochures at: Doctors Offices Dentist Offices Veterinarian Clinics VFW/American Legion Recruiting Stations VA Clinic National Guard Armory County Public Health Fire Stations Police Stations Public/Private Schools Preschools/Daycare Centers

  6. Facebook can be a POWERFUL TOOL! We now have over 2,000 likes Create a Facebook Page JUST for Homes For Heroes (Separate from your personal page or other business page) Update daily Invite friends to “like” Great things to post: New Listings Price Reductions Heroes with BIG CHECK at closing Any relevant real estate, military, health care news that affects your clients Something funny! Links to your website Mortgage program information (FHA, VA, USDA links to new guidelines) What you do and why you do it! Anything you feel will drive clients to your website or call you.

Other Great Marketing Ideas: --Print or purchase your own custom HFH brochures --HFH logo information on business cards, flyers, etc. --Buy the BIG CHECK and take photos with clients at every closing --Ask for testimonials --Ask for referrals from past clients --Create your own HFH website –easy and affordable through GoDaddy.com. --Get on TV! Do a press release on HFH to your local TV stations. I’ve been on our local ABC station 5 times this year and Rochester Women’s magazine is featuring me and the program in their June “Women Vets” issue. --Consider doing print, magazine, internet, etc. advertising --Post closing photos on your website and Facebook pages --Use the Homes For Heroes resources online! There are great ideas on for marketing on the website that all agents can take advantage of. --Wear HFH logo wear! Jeff has 5 polo shirts that he wears everyday and I can’t tell you how many leads he gets when people ask him “So, what’s Homes For Heroes?” --Have your trusted vendors become Friends of Heroes affiliates! --Ask your non-HFH affiliate lenders/Realtors to give you referrals. Even if they are not in the program it’s a great way to earn business!
