  2. Ice Breakers • Introduction of Members • Personal Responsibility • QBQ Jigsaw Agenda

  3. How quick are you? • Make a circle of 6 people • Raise palms in air • Place your right index finger in the center of the palm of the person to your right. • On the count of three, try to grasp the other’s finger as you remove yours. • Reverse, Repeat!! Ice Breaker #1

  4. SILENTLY… • Link arms with two other people who share your birth month. • “High 5-Freeze” with one other person who has the same first name or beginning initial, as you. • Shake hands with a person with the same eye color as you. Ice Breaker #2

  5. Stand • State your name. • Tell us a fact about yourself “we would find hard to believe”. • Fact could be true or false • Group will “Thumbs up or Thumbs down” your fact. Introductions…

Divide into 5 groups. • Each group receives a different “Question”. • Read your “Question”, complete your “Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down graphic organizer. • As a group, decide the main point of your “Question”. • In your group, share your thoughts about “How to increase Personal Responsibility?” in your school. • A spokesperson of each group shares the main point/synopsis of their “Question” with the large group. Share examples given during discussion time. • Whole group discussion about “How to increase Personal Responsibility?” at PBHSC. • Share examples of any QBQ moments attendees may have experienced.   11. Mr. Miller’s story: • A long time ago, when Mr. Miller had just started his career, his boss called him into his office. • “Sit down, John,” he said. “I know you’ve been expecting a raise, and I wish I could give you one.” QBQ Adapted from: August 2006/Guideposts

  12. “But, honestly, your performance has been, well, mediocre.” • John Miller left his boss’s office disappointed. But when he thought about it, he found himself wondering. QBQ Adapted from: August 2006/Guideposts

Choose/Volunteer to be the Recorder of discussion points. • Complete your Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down Graphic Organizer with your group. • Choose/Volunteer as the Spokesperson. • Spokesperson will share main idea/synopsis of “Question” with large group.
