Different Types of Customers • Argumentative- looks for problems • Impatient- don’t want to wait • Leave-me-alone- don’t want assistance • Irritable/Moody- has a bad mood • Insulting- rough or rude • Complaining- complains about everything • Suspicious- questions everything • Silent- quiet, doesn’t show emotion • Indecisive- doesn’t know what they want • Dishonest- Untruthful

  3. Insulting Customers • Insulting customers usually take their anger out on the employee. They usually call them names to try to make the employee feel bad. You have to not get angry back at them and make them feel like they are helping you.

  4. The bad customer guy story… • Once upon a time, Cam at the golf course during a golf tournament. Cam was in charge of a hole and was collecting money for charity. Cam saw many “customers” as the day progressed, but he remembers the one that stood out the most. Cam was sitting in his lawn chair when all of the sudden a man approached him. “What are you doing here!?” said the man. “I am here to collect charity for our basketball team”, replied Cam, “Would you like to make a donation?” The man replied, “Why would I give you my money? Are you slow boy?” Luckily Cam was a strong kid and didn’t take offense to the man’s insults. He knew that his customer was insulting. Cam knew how to deal with these types of customers, “Sir, I’m just here to do my job, you don’t have to make a donation if you don’t want to.” Then man replied, “Well alright then…” The man got done with his hole and when he was about to leave, he turned and handed Cam a dollar. Cam did a great job that day.
