  2. Outcome of the Discussion • Today we discussed about topics that could be explored in the next months: • New experiments of method fragments extractions • Criteria for fragments quality evaluation • New methodology composition approaches and guidelines • About the group proposal and organization: • Several of the most active members of this group are not today in Budapest (although most will arrive later) • We think the best position is to postpone any decision and to discuss with all the others. • Our preferred approach will be bottom-up (listen to proposals and try to collect the wider support that is possible to achieve) • We will ask for positions from: • old members of the group • from new people who have not contributed to previous activities (in order to collect fresher ideas) • A mailing list will be created in the next days for discussion

  3. What is the future of this work? • Several people are committed with this work (specifically with the old TC method engineering approach) • IT IS a research work: • new contributions can be given to the state of the art • workshops about this topic happen several time a year • IT IS NOT only a research work: • The lack of standards is limiting the diffusion of this approach in industries and makes it perceived as much more difficult than it is • The construction of a new generation of design tools could be heavily affected by the availability of a standard in the field • The members of this group will decide within the next month whether they prefer to: • Submit a proposal for continuing the activity as a FIPA Working group • Submit a proposal for moving the activity within a FIPA Study Group • Continue the activity in form of scientific collaborations among members (not within FIPA)
