  4. Clay-Darley Administrators • Kindergarten & 1st grade has moved to Claymont Elem. Darley Rd. site until renovations are completed. (Projected 2021/2022) • Administrators: Mr. Christopher Romano (AP) will be on site all day, Ms. Stewart (Principal) will be on site daily for a few hours. Dr. Reshid Walker will be on site a few days week. ADD A FOOTER

  5. ClaymontAdministrators • 2nd – 5th grade will remain at Claymont Elementary. • Administrators: Ms. Angela Williams (AP) and Mr. Ed Burks (Dean) will be on site all day. Arrival • Half of the buses will drop off at Darley Rd. site & the other half of the buses will drop off at Claymont Elementary 1st. • Kindergarten & 1st grade students will be seated in the front of all of the buses. • Kindergarten & 1st grade students will remain on the bus at Claymont. • 2nd – 5thgraders will remain on the bus at Darley. Arrival • Kindergarten car riders can be dropped off at Darley Rd. site first or drop off can occur at Claymont Elementary. • Claymont walkers will be escorted to a seating area and placed on the bus that will transport them to Darley Rd. site. • Students arriving after 8:50 am will need to be transported to Darley Rd. site by the parent.   10. Options • If you live close to the Darley Rd. site and wish to walk your child to school, please feel free to do so. • You also have the option of dropping your child off directly to Darley Rd. Elementary via the car rider line. ADD A FOOTER

  11. Important Info Arrival Dismissal • If your child is a walker or car rider, we will have a special area for them to wait to board a bus to Claymont Elementary-Darley Rd. Site. • If your child is a walker in Kindergarten or 1st grade, you will meet us in the gym lobby for pick-up. (Please use the sidewalk and do not walk across the parking lot.) All Kindergarten and first grade students will receive a special book bag and nametag to be worn for the first month of school. This will assist us in recognizing our Clay-Darley friends from our Claymont friends. ADD A FOOTER

Darley Day • 8:25-8:55 am - Arrival of students via car rider, bus, etc.* • 9:00 am – Beginning of the day • 9:00 am – 2:15 pm – Academic instruction, lunch, & recess • 2:15 pm – Board bus to return to Claymont Elementary • 2:30 pm – Specialist to meet buses and escort K and 1st grade to their classes • 3:17 pm – Begin the dismissal process ** ADD A FOOTER

Darley Specials • All K and 1st grade students will be returned to Claymont for specials by 2:30 pm. • All buses will have at least 2 BSD staff members on the bus. • Our Specialist/staff will meet students at the buses and escort them into the building. • Locations will be identified for dismissal procedure (i.e. walkers will meet in Rash’s room, bus riders in the gym, etc. • All dismissal changes must be emailed/called in by 2:30 pm.   14. Dismissal • All end of day dismissals will be at Claymont. • Early dismissals from Darley must happen by 2:15 pm. • Early dismissals from Claymont must happen by 2:45 pm. • There will be a master sheet of dismissals (of students) shared among the schools. Consistency is key! ADD A FOOTER

  15. Car Line School staff will be outside to assist children into and out of the building from: • 8:25 (Arrival) • 3:20 (Dismissal)

  16. Every family picking up their child from Claymont needs a number card. The number card should be visibly displayed to the staff in car-line duty to pick up your child. No dismissal permitted from the office between 2:45-3:35PM Car Line & Dismissal

Site • Tours: • August 5th – 16th, 2019 - Monday - Thursday from 9 am-12pm (Please contact Ms. Smallwood.) • Kindergarten Orientation: • August 6, 7, 8 – Scheduled times • Back-2-School Night/Ice Cream Social: • Darley Rd. Site – Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 4:30pm-6:30 pm • Claymont: Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 4:30-6:30pm** • ** We may be unable to tour the building due to renovations.** ADD A FOOTER
