Why do Americans have an issue with seeing things in terms of “class”? • What aspect of our political culture clashes with this concept? • How have voting patterns with relation to class, income and/or occupation changed since the 1950s? • What factor has made class and income less of an influence on political beliefs and public opinion? **Wilson’s Conclusion: Many of the issues that now lead us to choose which party to support or determine our ideology are noneconomic.
