Tether-Cutting Energetics of a Solar Quiet-Region Prominence Eruption

This study examines the energetics of a quiet-region prominence eruption and investigates the mechanism driving such eruptions. Observational data and simulations are used to estimate the energy required and the heating associated with tether-cutting reconnection. The results suggest that quiet-region and active-region eruptions are different manifestations of the same magnetic eruption process.
