Present Continuous Tense It has 3 parts: to be + infinitive + -ing It is used to talk about: Ideas how to teach: 1)Index cards describing funny familyactivities to be dramatized by 3-5 students, to be labeled by class. 2)What is she/he doing? 3)Compare with Future Simple (as a promise) 4)Verb Tense Study (K. Clark) 5) Grammar Chants by Carolyn Graham 6) E: Practice spelling 7)What are your parents doing now? 8)Current events in your country 9)Guess where it’s happening. 10)Select and describe a photo by Henri Cartier-Bresson. • 1)Now: What are my kids doing now? • 2)Future personal plans: I am feeding my son at 4 pm. • 3)Describe a picture:The baby is glaring at me. • 4)Anger: Why are you constantly texting? • 5)Prediction: It’s going to rain.
