Feeding Strategies to Support Children’s Healthy Weight This presentation is intended for trainers to provide detailed information about supporting children’s healthy growth and preventing overweight. The project was supported by the National Research Initiative of the USDA National Research Initiative Grant # 2006-55215-16726

  3. Objectives Learner will be able to: • Describe feeding strategies to support a healthy weight. • Identify specific actions to support children’s healthy weight. • Recognize the adult role in supporting children’s healthy weight.

  5. Supporting Children’s Healthy Weight • Children learn to eat what they are offered! • Offer a variety of foods!

  6. Supporting Children’s Healthy Weight • Offer children small portions and but reassure them they can have more if they are hungry!
