  2. Direct Deposit or Paycard • Direct deposit or payroll cards (also known as prepaid debit cards) are only options for receiving pay. • Employees submit their direct deposit information through ESTHER. Fin Aid Workshop 2009

Paycard Introduction • If no direct deposit information is provided, employee will be assigned a payroll card. • Funds available immediately on payday. • - Cash at ATM • - Teller cash withdrawals • - Cash back when purchases are made • No more waiting for paychecks to arrive by U.S. mail. Paycard Perks • Make purchases in stores, over the phone, or online – anywhere VISA is accepted. • Pay bills online by using 16-digit card number and expiration date. • Mobile banking app is available – quick access to account balance, transaction history, ATM locator, enroll/manage text alerts.   5. Paycard Perks • Text and Email Alerts – receive notifications for low balance, deposits, purchase alerts. • Fraud protection – VISA Zero Liability Policy protects against unauthorized purchases. Paychecks to Paycards • New Hires • Faculty/staff have within 10 days of hire to submit direct deposit information • Students will provide direct deposit information or receive a paycard when completing I-9 with Payroll • Grads on fellowship – first pay will be paycard (if no direct deposit information is provided) Fin Aid Workshop 2009
